Here we are with our bags packed, ready to fly to Florida where we will board our ship for our transatlantic crossing.
I know you haven't heard from us since Mexico but it has been a rather hectic two months. We arrived back in the states and settled into a great condo in downtown Sacramento - close to our new home so we could get more familiar with the area and close to the kids. We had expected a relaxing time visiting friends and family, playing some golf and just "hanging". Not to be. We both came down with colds and then when we were feeling better we found out that we had to re-book half of our trip (due to a bizarre treaty one can't spend more than a total of 90 days in what's known as the Schengen Zone (all Eu countries plus a few others) in any 180 day period. So, instead of the South of France, Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily we are now spending three months in England, Ireland and Scotland (hence the big yellow bag full of golf clubs). The best part is that we will be in Scotland during the British Open and plan on attending. So, quite the hassle but it's turning out to be great.
We are looking forward to the crossing and hope for calm seas. We understand Crystal takes very good care of its passengers so we are planning on being quite spoiled by the time we disembark in Lisbon. And, that is where you will hear from us again.
